 About Us

What unites us is our Savior, Jesus Christ, and a common mission to be active participants in the Great Commission. (Matthew 28:19-20).

Meet Our Pastor

Ron “Cookie” Jackson grew up in the south end of Seattle where he attended Franklin High School. With a precocious athletic ability in track and football, he set the 100-meter record in the state of Washington, which stood for 18 years and set many football records, as well. He became a notable Washington Husky running back from 1980 to 1985. While with the Huskies, he was privileged to play under the distinguished Coach Don James, making it to the most prestigious bowls such as the Orange Bowl in 1985, Rose Bowl in 1980 and 1982, and the Aloha Bowl in 1983. After playing with the Washington Redskins for pre-season, his football career came to an end in 1985.

In 1986, Ron married Melissa and they had their son, Josiah, in 1992. They moved to the Southern cone of Africa in 1994 where they served as missionaries for twelve years, with their primary focus on saturation church planting and leadership development. They relocated to the USA in 2006, continuing to serve as missionaries in both the USA and Africa.

Ron and Melissa earned their undergrad degrees in Theology and Christian Education from Seattle Bible College in 1993. They went on to earn their Master’s degrees in Social Science and Leadership from Azusa Pacific University in 2003.

In February of 2011, Ron was nominated and officially installed as the Pastor of Cle Elum Alliance Church. His desire is to see people come to Jesus, see Him according to Scripture, grow in their faith, then go and tell the world.
